After re-scheduling due to Covid, we finally were able to witness Devin and Lauryn become the new Mr. and Mrs. Sweet! Their wedding at Morgan Creek Barn was glamourous and romantic with a cozy, modern atmosphere.
Wild Bunches Floral went above and beyond with their gorgeous floral arrangements full of white hydrangeas and soft pink roses. The blush and powder blue color pallette looked stunning in the reception hall with linens by CV Linens and the cherry on top of their special day was the 1972 Cutlass Supreme Convertible getaway car from ATX Classic Cars.
Lauryn looked stunning in her dress from Misora Bridal, and her hair and makeup team J Mad Beauty and Nessa Does Hair created a soft, glamourous look that had everyone holding their breath when she walked down the aisle. I asked Devin what his favorite moment of the day was, and he told me “My favorite memory was seeing Lauryn for the first time as she was coming down the aisle. I remember feeling like I was in a movie. It felt like I was dreaming.”
Devin plays baseball for the Mariners, so they had a teammate of Devin’s officiate their Christ-centered ceremony. During the ceremony, their family came up and prayed over them, and I cried like a baby. I LOVED that they included their family this way, it created a moment that was so intimate and beautiful, I was truly blown away by the love in the room, it made for such a sweet wedding ceremony.
Lauryn incorporated her family’s creole background into their wedding by having a second line, bringing in cajun food from Cajun Skillet Restaurant & Catering, and having a bartender from New Orleans.
They ended their day with an EPIC DANCE PARTY and matching Nikes surrounded by all of their family and friends. I was truly grateful to have been a part of Devin and Lauryn’s big day.
