Claud and Hank’s engagement session at Vista Brewing was an absolute DREAM! Our usually finicky Texas weather showed us favor with an incredibly gorgeous day, and the most perfect lighting a photographer could want (I’m serious it was so dreamy). We spent the session laughing, talking, and having a dance break or twelve.
I have known Claud since we were in middle school, so shooting her engagement session was such a special moment for me. These two love birds met at Texas A&M and have been together since 2017. After years of long-distance, Hank got a job in the Austin area, moved back, and popped the question in October of 2021. Claud and Hank will become the new Mr. and Mrs. Hughes summer of 2023 at the gorgeous Villa Antonia!
This isn’t the first time I have shot at Vista Brewing (nor will it be the last), but every time I go out there I am just floored by how pretty it is. It makes the perfect spot for engagement sessions, private events, or even just an afternoon outing to get some fresh air and fresh beer. I will say, this Vista Brewing engagement session hit different.
For Claud and Hank’s session, I busted out my Fuji 400 with a Pentax 645 (and of course did digital as well) and I am obsessed with the results. I recently started incorporating film photography into my business and I am pinching myself for not doing it sooner because it is just so dang good!
This engagement session will go down in the books as one of my favorites. Being able to capture special moments like this for a lifelong friend is such a rewarding thing, I seriously don’t have the words to express how grateful I am.
